Alarming rate of call center sex scandal and infidelity cases in the Philippines

The booming call center industry in the Philippines creating many many jobs for Pinoys but it also has its share of woes. The two most bothersome issues affecting the industry now are cases of sex scandal videos and infidelity of call center agents that are not being reported to media.

Numerous reports have not been publicized but many are known in existence in the industry. Because it was such a taboo and sometimes the management employees are involved, the news is carried in inner circles and is kept there. Cases where call center agents are getting caught in the act of sex inside the call center facility are normal and was randomly reported.

Most of the time, only the HR department of the company are involved and violations of company policy will normally result to the call center employee being suspended or expelled. The scandalous sexual acts are happening inside sleeping quarters and bunkers of employees. Call center companies normally provides for sleeping rooms for its employees.

There are also cases where scandalous acts are caught on video inside parking areas, parked cars, the elevator and fire exits. Sex video scandals of call center agents proliferate in pinoy scandal sites where call center employees are caught on tape that are either deliberately or accidentally got loose in internet circulation.

And the sex scandal is just one part of the story. Most of the time, the persons involved in sex scandals inside call centers are married people. Some are even management officials of the company getting involved with a subordinate or one of his/her collegues. More often than not, families are breaking up when one of the couples are caught up in infidelity. The call center build Filipinos homes but it can also shatter the same.

Is the graveyard shift has something to do with this phenomenon? Or is it already an accepted culture in the call center industry? Sex scandals and infidelity cases that are happening in the call centers in the Philippines should be monitored. Again many are not reported but the whole industry knows it exists. The industry just doesn’t want to acknowledge and talk about this issue that is now fast becoming a social problem.
